These are some of the product design projects I have done. Each project was completed with a proof of concept prototype. Click on the image to view a slide show of the project documentation.

Ambient Illumination Controlled Lighting System

An exercise in applied electronics for retail and residential applications.

'Let there be light - Let it be steady'

Retail spaces are largely about ambience. And controlling the ambience requires control over light. This simple little circuit adjusts the brightness of a LED lighting system depending on the amount of light outside so that, the level of brightness in the store is always constant.

The Mercury Chair

Innovative office chair design

Today's executives lead businesses to success through hardwork, innovation and seat of the pants decisions. Consider innovating for the seat of the pants. Every office chair manufacturer follows the same ergonomic template and chairs differ from one another mainly in form, style and cushion material.

Mercury, is a cushion design that takes a radical new approach to the office chair. It literally takes the user's profile while providing support and maximizes the contact surface area. All this plus, excellent air circulation through a seat fabric that is virtually a net.

Trans-iT

Fleet monitoring system.

India is a rapidly growing economy. We are on the high way to success. We have trail blazers. We carve our own paths. We take the road less traveled. It can be dangerous. One can easily get lost. And one can loose merchandize and clients.

Trans-it is a fleet monitoring system that records data on board trucks, cabs and buses. It records data from onboard sensors and transmits it wirelessly to a central station. It is like the black box for the automobile. Fleet head quarters will now know precisely where each vehicle is, and if there is a breakdown or accident of some sort, an automated alert is sent out.

Pill Caddy

Tablet dispenser/organizer.

In today's mobile age, every one needs tablets. They are small, powerful and come in various shapes and sizes. But our tablet organizers still need ideas that  are out of the box.

Diabetics and heart patients need a daily intake of 2 or more tablets a day. But patients are still pigeon holed into buying the pigeon hole format that is followed by most tablet organizers today.

The Pill Caddy is a tablet dispenser system that can address that problem. It is a pocket portable unit that is operable with one hand.
